Douglas Creek Tangiwai
These pieces of Tangiwai hold a very sentimental value to me as I was lucky enough to find this beautiful stone on a trip down to the south Island with my brother.
Different to most Pounamu you see; this stones scientific name is Bowenite. A slight variation to the more commonly known Nephrite (Jade).
When you look into this stone, its nearly like you can see straight through it! It has veins nearly completely transparent!
It is said to be as old as 500 million years! It is an honour to be able to wear such a beautiful piece close to my heart and I can guarantee you will feel the same!
