It was the first piece I ever turned into bronze! Its success is the exact reason why I have continued on this path. At the time I was living in Australia with a yearning to dive deep into maori culture and find my roots. With a 4 week stop over in Queensland before heading back to New Zealand I sculpted this piece in my uncle garage before taking it home to New Zealand and travelling around the country with it.
