This beauty of a piece was inspired by a trip I did down the west coast of the south island, New Zealand in 2019. At the time, an avid jade carver & good friend of mine was carving a tuatara out of a greenstone boulder as a commission piece. I was absolutely fascinated by it! Then came the light bulb moment... I dreamt of sculpting one from clay and casting it in bronze!
